Refund policy

At The AftaWay, we take pride in offering premium-quality mukhwas, namkeen, and artisanal food products. Since our products fall under the food and perishable goods category, we follow strict hygiene and safety protocols. This Refund & Return Policy outlines the circumstances under which returns, replacements or refunds may be considered.

1. Returns & Exchanges (Our Honest Policy)

Since our products are consumable and perishable, we do not accept returns or exchanges once they’ve been delivered.
But we also believe in doing right by our customers.
If something goes wrong, we’ll make it right — fairly and quickly.

2. When You’re Eligible for a Replacement or Refund

We offer a replacement or refund only in genuine situations such as:
a) Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives visibly tampered or leaking.
b) Wrong Product Delivered
If you receive something different from what you ordered.
c) Quality Concern
If the product feels spoiled or not consumable at the time of delivery.
(We may request batch details and photos to investigate. Taste preferences or personal flavour choices do not fall under quality issues.)

3. How to Raise a Request

To help us resolve your issue smoothly:

  • Notify us within 24 hours of delivery
  • Share clear photos/videos of:
    • Outer box
    • Inside packaging
    • Product
    • Batch label

Please keep the product unused until we assess the issue.
Requests made after 24 hours won’t be eligible because of the nature of food products.

4. Situations Not Covered

We won’t be able to process refunds or replacements in cases like:

  • Taste preference or personal dislike
  • Delivery delays caused by courier operations or weather
  • Incorrect address or contact details shared by the customer
  • Product already opened or consumed
  • Minor natural variations in colour, texture, or ingredients
  • Missing proof (photos/videos)
  • Orders under offers, combos, or free gifts unless damaged or incorrect

5. How Refunds Work

Once approved:

  • Prepaid Orders: Amount will be refunded to the original payment method within 5–7 business days
  • COD Orders: Refund processed to your bank/UPI after you share details

For replacements, we ship the product again at no extra cost.

6. Order Cancellations

Before Dispatch

You can cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it — just reach out to us.

After Dispatch

Once the order leaves our facility, it cannot be cancelled. If the courier can’t deliver due to customer unavailability, re-shipping charges may apply.

7. If Delivery Fails or the Address Is Incorrect

If an order comes back to us because:

  • The address was inaccurate
  • The customer wasn’t available
  • The address was inaccurate
  • The customer wasn’t available
  • Courier couldn’t reach you
  • Delivery was refused

We can re-ship it with additional shipping charges.
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed after deducting two-way courier charges.

8. Return-to-Origin (RTO) Packages

If a package returns to us, we’ll contact you.
If we don’t hear back within 48 hours, the order will be cancelled and refunded (after applicable deductions).
